WHAT WE TRADE / LIMESTONE

Limestone. A foundation for industry.

An essential mineral for cement, lime and industrial processes. Indonesian limestone comes from varied geological settings, making deposit quality, chemistry and logistics central to every sourcing decision.

01 / THE INDONESIAN LANDSCAPE

Widespread deposits. Site-specific quality.

Limestone occurs across Indonesia’s sedimentary and carbonate landscapes, including parts of Java, Sumatra and Sulawesi. A geological occurrence is not the same as an economically recoverable reserve. Quarry access, permits, environmental constraints, chemistry and logistics all affect commercial suitability. A verified, comparable national reserve total and annual limestone output have not been established for this page; no national tonnage is claimed.

02 / INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS

Where the resource becomes useful.

Cement & construction

Limestone supplies calcium for cement clinker and can serve as aggregate or building material. Chemistry and physical characteristics must suit the specific manufacturing process.

Lime & industrial processing

Calcination converts suitable limestone into quicklime. Lime is used in metallurgical processing, water treatment and other industrial applications requiring controlled chemistry.

Agriculture & mineral fillers

Appropriate grades may be used for soil conditioning and as mineral fillers. Purity, fineness and contaminants are application-specific and require laboratory confirmation.

03 / SOURCING CONSIDERATIONS

The right material starts with the right questions.

Begin with calcium carbonate or CaO content, magnesium, silica, iron, moisture and size distribution. For lime production, reactivity and calcination behaviour also matter. Quarry-level test results and logistics are more useful than a generic national tonnage when evaluating an actual supply.

Let’s discuss your limestone requirements.

Share your application, quality parameters, destination and volume. Availability, specifications and regulatory requirements are confirmed for each enquiry.
